Adding Beauty to Your Day

So often I tell my clients, “You need to blog regularly if you want anyone to find your web site.” And they nod their heads like it is really going to happen.  We all have great intentions but when it comes to writing your daily or weekly blog piece it is really easy to procrastinate!

The important thing with blog writing is to write about something that you really have a passion for. I have a passion for beauty!  I love to see the beauty in nature.  It is everywhere, I love to collect beautiful photographs, not necessarily my own and I store them in my computer in a certain folder.  I have my computer set to show on my desktop different pictures from that folder. That way each time I open my computer I am greeted with a beautiful scene, an adorable animal or something that inspires me.

I also use these beautiful pictures to make my own jig-saw puzzles which I love to use at night to unwind.  I also use them when I am on hold on the phone.  It keeps me from becoming impatient and surly with tech support! I highly recommend Everyday Jigsaw from Kraisoft.com It allows you to make puzzles with your own images.

It is fine to collect and enjoy anyone’s photos and images from the internet for your own enjoyment but don’t publish them on your web site without permission or paying royalties. This can get you into trouble. I like 123RF.com for great royalty-free artwork.

I enjoy being an “armchair tourist” and seeing the beautiful photos my friends post of their travels. It is easy to download these pictures from Facebook. I find that making such photos into jigsaw puzzles and then solving them opens my eyes to new details in the image that I wouldn’t necessarily see in a quick glance.
